Idea Contest For Cash Prizes. Ideas On The Development Of ThinkCube Network

Hey folks

Thought you may like to know about a brainstorming contest on BrainReactions for cash prizes:

Brainstorming Competition

Also, would like to know your thoughts on this idea: we start a number of collaborative brainstorming projects on here about specific subjects/problems and spread these ideas on the net under the name of ThinkCube (or maybe something like "ThinkCube Network"). I'm thinking initially of submitting these ideas to a site such as Global Ideas Bank.

Also I've been toying with the idea that we could 'adopt' a number of small businesses local to each of us and brainstorm ideas for these and then see how our ideas/input influence the business.

Let me know your thoughts

John

I just heard from Darin at BrainReactions. I was top rated brainstormer in the brainstorming competition :)

One or two at a time form different areas would be good.
I'm happy to also share my www.mindmeister.com account to assist with an online collaborative mind mapping space.

like the idea, particularly if it increases the collaboration and networking opportunity through the forum - 'for innovators' - let it be........as they say

Love your idea John!!!

Question to the group -- should we focus on 1 idea at a time or focus on a few. I was thinking pick a problem/subject every month and every brainstorm (we could vote for problems to pick the most popular) - but I am open to working on multiple.

Thoughts?

SMART KIT

Square Go Home

Neat little puzzle game. The instructions in the game aren’t clear, so here are the basics: Goal: get the 2 little guys to the two squares underneath the red spaceship The ‘X’ boxes can be made transparent by clicking on them. Click on them again to make them solid. The little guys can jump if you click on [...]

On the Ground…

One of the above, plus one of what is seen below, plus 7 of these were lying in the yard. Nobody put them on the ground, but there is a very good reason for their being there.  Can you figure it out? Answers can be entered below, will reveal submissions before the week is over!

IceBreaker

Lots of Wintry fun in this Nitrome puzzle game. First levels are very easy, they do get harder though. Play IceBreaker. Slice the ice to release the frozen vikings, and then get them to roll down into the ship.

Explosions at Sea

Cool picture showing shockwaves at sea from a ship firing its big guns. Play the jigsaw.

QUBE

An interesting 3D cube dropping game, play now

Last Strimko for 2009

Play the 2nd Strimko for December, and our last of 2009. Strimko has also just been released for the iphone.  Features 120 hand-crafted puzzles, 4 difficulty levels with a brand-new Master level, and an intelligent hinting system. Get the full version for only $0.99-limited time only here

Prisoner Puzzle: HARD

Thanks to Suineg for submitting this interesting (and hard!) prisoner puzzle. 20 prisoners are going to face the death penalty tomorrow. The  pacifist mayor, however, has decided to give them a second chance (but they are going to have to earn it!): We are going to play a little game to see if you can give your [...]

Climbing The Christmas Tree!

When Bobo the Bear sent in his Lateral Thinking Math question, he also pointed me to this exceptional Christmas Tree challenge-note that you must have Java installed to play. It’s a lot of fun, and actually not very hard. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

Norhtern Lights

Cool picture of the the Aurora Borealis. Play the jigsaw puzzle now. These polar lights are caused by solar wind particles being funneled down and accelerated along the Earth’s magnetic field lines.

Bucket Balls 2 Game

A fun, but  not terribly hard game with some puzzle elements: Play Bucket Balls 2. And tomorrow, have a really neat Christmas puzzle.
